On March 4–5, 2025, the fashion brand REPULO’S will present its own boutique at Warsaw Fashion Week in Browary Warszawskie. This milestone marks the next step in the brand’s expansion in Europe. We spoke with Kateryna Nechyporenko, founder and head designer of REPULO’S, about the importance of fashion weeks, what they mean for clients, and the philosophy behind the brand’s collections.

Why REPULO’S takes part in Fashion Weeks

— Fashion Weeks exist to showcase the latest ideas and set trends for the future. Kateryna, why is participation important for you and for REPULO’S?

Kateryna Nechyporenko:

— I believe a brand should use every opportunity to show itself and connect with clients. Fashion Week is one of the most prestigious events in the industry. It allows us to present our work and be part of the global conversation about fashion.

— Fashion Weeks are not just about clothes. They are platforms for ideas — often bold and experimental. In Paris or Milan you see designs that are not meant for immediate sale but symbolize where fashion is heading. These ideas then filter down into ready-to-wear collections.

— For a brand, Fashion Week is both positioning and communication. It’s a statement: “We are here, we shape the language of contemporary fashion.”

Can anyone “buy” a place at Fashion Week?

— Some say that any brand can simply pay for participation. Doesn’t that devalue the event?

Kateryna Nechyporenko:

— That’s not true for major Fashion Weeks. There is always a selection process. You first submit a portfolio and brand information, and only then can organizers send you an invitation.

— Prestigious Fashion Weeks like Paris, Milan, and New York care about their reputation. They thoroughly review the quality of collections. Yes, there are commercial events, but the most respected weeks are always a mark of professional recognition.

— For me, Fashion Week is a “window into the future.” It’s about being not only present, but also a co-creator of trends.

Fashion as art: the philosophy of REPULO’S

— Do you agree that fashion is a form of art, with its own philosophy? Can Fashion Week help you communicate that?

Kateryna Nechyporenko:

— Absolutely. Meeting me in person, seeing the behind-the-scenes process, creates a real sense of connection with the brand. I always say: you don’t need a reason to wear a beautiful dress. Wear it, feel beautiful, and the occasion will come.

— Our pieces enhance femininity and confidence. When I explain how each design is created and what it highlights, clients gain a deeper understanding of the REPULO’S philosophy.

Why Warsaw, and why Browary Warszawskie?

— REPULO’S has already participated in Toronto Fashion Week. Why is Warsaw the next step, and why did you choose Browary Warszawskie as the location?

Kateryna Nechyporenko:

— In Toronto, we took part every season for two and a half years. It gave us the chance to connect with local audiences. Interestingly, not only women but also men bought our pieces.

— But now we want to grow in Europe. Warsaw is a hub — the heart of Europe — where people love fashion and dressing well. As I live here as a designer, it’s important for me to develop REPULO’S with the perspective of the local client.

— Browary Warszawskie is an inspiring location: stylish, lively, and perfect for fashion presentations. Visitors can not only discover the collection but also enjoy the atmosphere, dine, and take memorable photos.
